Look past the historic chapel. We are a large campus! Please see more about our facilities below.
The main Sanctuary building includes a 310-seat worship area and the church office. The 9:45 and 11:00 Sunday services are held here. Adjacent to this area are classrooms, a spacious youth room, library, and a comfortable reception area with couches, bistro tables, and coffee bar. In 2016, the covered entrance and cross-topped belltower were completed. Drive by or visit and you’ll hear beautiful chimes on the quarter-hour, and bell-toned hymns at 9:00, noon, 3:00, and 6:00 each day.
Gym & Fellowship Hall
Midway UMC makes extensive use of its full-sized gymnasium, Fellowship Hall and large commercial kitchen. The gym is used year-round for a variety of programs, including Midway Saints Basketball and Cheerleading programs in the spring, large community events such as our Children’s Consignment Sales and Vacation Bible School, weekly youth activities, after-school and pre-school programs, and much more.
8:30 Sunday morning worship is held in the Historic Chapel. For many years, this was the only building on the Midway campus, and it’s still the most visible and recognized today. The original wooden-frame chapel was destroyed by a tornado in 1920 and rebuilt in 1928 into one of the most beautiful chapels in the state. It includes several of the original pews – salvaged after the tornado – and if you look closely in certain areas, you can still see fingerprints of those who rebuilt the structure nearly a century ago. Beautiful stained-glass adorns all sides of the chapel, setting a reverent tone for all who enter.
