Get AMP'd for AMP!

What is AMP?

Alpharetta Mission Project (AMP) is a student led; adult supported mission effort combined with a camp experience based out of Midway UMC. AMP will take place this summer, July 8 -13.  The students participating in AMP will live in community at the church, will experience amazing worship, small groups, eat meals, enjoy activities together and grow in fellowship with one another.  During the workday, the students, along with their adult leaders, will break into their work crews and travel to their worksite.  AMP will partner with local non-profits, many of whom Midway UMC are already partners, to discover suitable sites and provide support.

AMP is open to all students who are currently in middle school or high school. In addition, AMP is planning on hiring college students to serve in both the developmental and implementation processes of the mission. For a successful AMP to take place, willing and able adults are needed in every aspect of the mission. Ten volunteer teams have been created and identified for adults to participate. Many adults are needed to be the support to the leading students. AMP is truly an intergenerational effort! High school students are eligible to apply to become a “Tour Guide” or student leader at AMP and lead their own work crew.
